It was good
I'm totally tired, falling asleep even as I write this. But I wanted to update now. Tomorrow may be too busy, but then again, we shall see.
The rehearsal Monday was tough, as first nights with tech added are. Putting sound, lights, orchestra, sets, and costumes all in the mix at once is always super challenging. It definitely left us a bit out of it.
But it's one night later and we hit our stride again. It was really great! I can't wait for the show. Every night I wonder what new and wonderful things the kids will be adding. They are really developing the characters nicely. Such absolute fun!
I want them to be encouraged in stepping out and doing the thing that is just beyond them. We so readily settle within our limitations. But in God, if we step out just beyond our limits He enlarges our field. It is amazing but true. So we are doing that in this CFA musical. But it is a principle that applies in every arena of life. Jump in - believe for serving in a bigger way then you think comfortable. Try something beyond what you have done before. He will meet you in it. Everytime.
I am now going to get some much needed rest. I hope I dream of some fun new things to do with some of the large group scenes. They could use just a bit more choreography!

I'm so glad the kids are a blessing. They sure do enjoy being a part of the production, even if it is "behind the scenes".
I am done burning except for one small pile of roof joices, with boards attached, that were too heavy for me to lift. It's enough for one good bonfire and I'm leaving it for the kids and thier friends. :)
As for the move itself... I think God can do anything, of course, and change it if He wants. However I feel this is one of those times we need to jump in and believe as you were talking about. We are going for now, of that I have no doubt. However, I don't feel we're done being part of the North Country forever. How He's going to do that, I don't know, but in my heart that is what I feel. In the meantime, He's meeting me while I burn and paint and do all that needs to be done.
I hope the new day finds you rested and full of new ideas. I can hardly wait to see the show, I've heard so much about it. You are a blessing to many, that is for sure.
it sounds like so much fun! enjoy it : )
I know that you will bless people wherever you go! I hope you will excuse me if I feel a bit selfish today!
No problem, it's always good to feel loved. :) What a sad testimony it would be if we were leaving and nobody noticed or cared. We are going to miss you all just as much and think much thought should be given to church planting in Minnesota.
:)

I was wondering how it would go if I asked the girls to do their own makeup. I think they did a terrific job tonight! I usually have a big list of "corrections," but tonight it was very short! Even a few of the guys are working on their own--imagine that! I'm so very proud of them ... and it wouldn't have happened this way if I had more people to help with makeup from the beginning. So, praise God for volunteers, but praise Him also when the volunteers don't happen. The kids are definitely growing in their talents, and it's so amazing to be a part of that. I hope I'm being an encouragment for that growth--it's what I really want for them!
"break a leg"! Best of everything for your show. I just finished mine this past week - complete understand of the joys, frustrations, sadness, and hopes. I'm looking forward to reading about it afterwards. God bless. Lisa
